Completely. Dunthorpe sits between Portland and Lake Oswego in the heart of our territory, and estate glass work there is some of the most rewarding we build.

The panels are unaffected by weather. Hardware is what needs specifying, so we use stainless on bluff-side properties and seal every penetration against constant moisture.

Yes. Posts, clamps, and caps can be finished in brass, bronze, or blackened steel so the glass system sits alongside existing ironwork and hardware rather than clashing with it.

Sometimes, used carefully. A rear stair, a loft addition, or a bluff-side run can take glass beautifully. A formal front staircase with original ironwork usually should not, and we will tell you that rather than fit glass where iron belongs.

On a primary view elevation, most owners think so. Standard glass carries a green cast that shows at the panel edges, and low-iron removes it, so the panel reads closer to water-clear. Above the Willamette, where the glass is in your sightline all day, the difference is visible.
