Which areas around Portland do you serve?
The whole metro and beyond, from the inner neighborhoods out to Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Happy Valley, and across the river to Vancouver. Portland is the center of our service area.
Can you match a modern or ornamental style to our home?
Yes. We fabricate both in our own shop, from clean modern horizontal designs to ornamental scrollwork and decorative pickets, so the railing suits the age and character of the house rather than a catalog.
Will a metal deck railing rust in Portland’s rain?
Not when it is finished properly. We build in powder-coated steel and use aluminum where standing moisture is a real concern, and we seal the connections so water cannot sit in the joints. That is what keeps a deck railing looking sharp through wet winters.
Can you put a new railing on our existing deck?
Yes, and it is common. If the deck structure is sound, we measure it, fabricate the new railing to those dimensions, and install it in place of the old one. The deck stays; only the railing changes.
Metal, glass, or cable for a Portland deck?
It depends on the deck. If there is a view, glass keeps it whole and blocks the most wind; cable keeps it largely open for less and lets the air through. If there is no particular view, or you want ornamental detail, metal is the most versatile and the easiest to live with. We walk through all three on site.
