Why Camas Picks Us
Grip and Mounting Are the Whole Job
An ADA handrail is a continuous, graspable rail your hand can close around, carried the length of a stair or ramp with returns and extensions at each end. We fabricate and install them across Camas in powder-coated steel, stainless, and aluminum.
Every handrail is measured on site and built in our own shop. Camas pairs a walkable downtown of older storefronts with newer commercial and residential construction, and the two need very different rails even though the principles behind them match.
Your architect, contractor, or building official determines what a project requires. We build the handrail to those dimensions and talk through profile, finish, and mounting with you.
What We Build
Where We Install ADA Handrails in Camas
We fabricate handrails for storefronts, public entries, ramps, and homes across the city.
Commercial and Public-Access Handrails
Downtown retail and restaurants, offices, and multi-family buildings, where a handrail is gripped by the public all day. Built in powder-coated steel or stainless with brackets set for constant use.
Ramp and Accessibility Handrails
Exterior ramps and entry steps take the weather and get used wet. We build continuous runs with returns and extensions past the last step, finished for wet Northwest winters.
Local Experts
ADA Handrails Across Camas
Downtown along Northeast Fourth Avenue, the work is storefront entries, restaurant steps, and short ramps on older commercial buildings, where a rail has to work with a structure built long before it.
Around Camas Meadows, Grass Valley, and the newer neighborhoods, we build handrails for home entry steps and interior flights, plus commercial and multi-family entries. On Prune Hill, long exterior stairs from driveway to door are common.
Downtown projects tend to be single entries on older buildings, while the newer commercial and multi-family sites bring several runs at once. Either way we measure on site before anything is drawn.

Camas Specific
Older Storefronts, Newer Construction
Camas has two building stocks with two different handrail problems. Downtown, the older storefronts and small commercial buildings have entries at heights and angles that predate any thought about handrail placement, and the framing behind them was never planned for brackets.
In the newer commercial and residential construction around town, the framing is predictable but the runs are often longer, with ramps and multiple landings that need a rail carried through continuously rather than in sections.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you build residential handrails?
Custom Railings Oregon2026-09-12T08:43:20-07:00
Yes, for entry steps and interior stairs, often for owners planning to stay in the home. Same profiles and mounting, finished to suit a house.
Will an outdoor handrail hold up here?
Custom Railings Oregon2026-09-12T08:43:01-07:00Built and finished properly, yes. We use powder-coated steel over a primer or stainless where it suits, and seal the mounting points so moisture cannot get in behind a bracket and loosen the rail.
Can you add a handrail to an older downtown building?
Custom Railings Oregon2026-09-12T08:42:37-07:00Yes, and it is regular work. Older entries rarely match a stock rail, so we measure the stair or ramp as built and fabricate the run to it, then find solid backing to mount into rather than relying on the wall surface.
Do you work in Washington as well as Oregon?
Custom Railings Oregon2026-09-12T08:42:12-07:00Yes. Custom Railings OR is the Oregon arm of Custom Railings WA, a Washington-based company, so Camas and Clark County are home territory for a licensed and bonded team.
